For my final project, I decided to incorporate a concept that I have always been in love with. I’m a big soccer fan, and this why I chose it as the theme for my website. Over the course of this class, we have learned how to use different media platforms to express ourselves. This has been an exciting experience because I learned a lot of new things that I did not know before. For my final project, I choose to use what I have learned over the course of this class to design 3 poster images for my soccer website. I used photoshop because it was a program that I found very useful in this class. for the posters I first used photoshop to edit the images to my liking then I used adobe illustrator to add text to the images. I really enjoyed doing this final project because it allows me to express myself freely and be creative in my own way. 

Although this project was very interesting for me it did pose challenges. I was challenged with learning how to use some functions on photoshop and illustrator that io had not learned how to use before. I did a lot of research to get familiar with these functions and it turned good for my project. 

This video was very interesting to work on. I enjoyed this assignment because it made me feel like a director of my own movie. This video was exciting to make for me because I got to be in charge of what the camera focused on. However, this was also challenging because I did not have a proper camera so I had to hold my iPhone and use it as the camera. The iPhone was not that bad of a substitute because it made for an okay camera. The best part of the assignment for me was the editing part because it allowed me to get creative and use my imagination.

Currently I’m trying to wrap my head around the fact that we are going to be on a lock down for an additional two weeks. Lockdown has been very boring and sad. The only good thing about it is that I don’t have to wake up early for classes and deal with the stress of driving to school today. I look forward to being let outside again and enjoying the benefits of spending quality time with my friends. I also wish people will obey the lockdown laws and stay inside because the sooner they do that the sooner we get to go outside.

Scene Analysis 

My favorite scene and the one I want to analyze is the final scene of the movie. This was by far the most action packed scene in the entire movie and I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of action and explosion in this scene and it really excited me. I liked the transitions in the scene and surprisingly the acting in this scene was not as bad as the other scenes. The explosions were very well set up and well planned and it brought new life to the movie for me. The character dialogue in this scene was also very well played out with characters doing a good deal with their words. Most importantly the scene ended with a big explosion which is a very critical thing for an action movie.

Coffee and Kareem Review 

The movie I have chosen to review is Coffee and Kareem. It was released on netflix on  April 3, 2020 (United States). The movie stars Ed Helms, Terrence Little, Gardenhigh, Betty Gilpin, RonReaco Lee, Andrew Bachelor, David Alan Grier and Taraji P. Henson. The movie is about a cop who ends up having a crazy day with his girlfriend’s son as they stop a drug trade. Upon starting the movie I was expecting a well organized movie that kept me laughing and entertained from start to finish.The trailer of the movie also seemed quite promising so I was expecting a very good action comedy movie.  If I’m being honest I was not very impressed by the movie at all; in fact to say the least I was disappointed. First of all the movie seemed rushed,out of sorts and lacked a bit of seriousness. I guess this was because the movie was an action comedy but even with this it still seemed too unserious for me. Another thing I noticed with the movie was the acting of one of the main characters Kareem. His acting was very poor and it didn’t seem to flow with the other actors and this was really throwing me off in the movie. I also felt they could have had a more mature script than they did,the script seemed to be rushed and did not really seem like a lot of time was spent on it. 

The world play on the script was also very poor for me, the script writer spent too much on swear words than actually writing out a good script. On a brighter note something I liked about the film was the diversity in characters. The film character list was diverse and had a good amount of black actors in lead positions and this was very encouraging to see because it’s rare to come across diversity in hollywood. I really wished the movie was not as rushed as it was because they had a lot of talented cast to work with in order to bring out a better movie. The producers were more interested in creating violence and chaos in the movie and forgot to focus on important dialogue. Another thing that threw me off in the movie was how much racial dialogue they forced, some of the racial comments made in the movie seemed unnecessary and uncalled for.  A lot of the racial dialogue made in the movie can be seen as offensive and degrading to some viewers. The movie also aimed a lot of their jokes at the LGBTQ communtiy and this also seemed rather uncalled for. 

It was really interesting when we worked on the sounds we recorded. I really liked this assignment because I saw first hand how much you could manipulate a sound and how different a sound can be from what was originally recorded.

I found this video interesting simply because I admired the way he washable to come out of his comfort zone and try so many new things. I also found this video pretty inspiring. However, although it is a good idea I wonder how he made his money while living randomly.

I discovered that you can put photoshop images on a shirt and I found this tp be very cool.

I found that you could use photoshop to make a funny face by using the liquify tool in photoshop.

The halftime show was one of the best I’ve seen since I started watching the Super Bowl. It was vey engaging and the songs performed by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez were very diverse in many ways. I thought their performance skills were excellent. They engaged the crowd very well and kept them very entertained . Not many performers can do that.
